Terms of Use
These terms apply to the iOS app "NoStrings: TV Remote Control" (the "App"), developed by Vitalii Iesmanskyi, an individual developer ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these terms.
1. Apple Standard EULA
Your use of the App is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA). These Terms of Use supplement it. If anything here conflicts with the Standard EULA, the Standard EULA prevails.
2. Free features
The basic remote (power, volume, mute, channels, D-pad, OK, back, home, menu, source, player keys, number pad and turning the TV on over Wi-Fi) is free and is not time-limited.
3. NoStrings Pro
Optional Pro features (touchpad, keyboard, launching TV apps, multiple TVs and remote themes) are available through a single in-app purchase, Pro Lifetime: a one-time, non-consumable purchase. You pay once and keep Pro, with no recurring charge. The App offers no subscriptions and no free trials.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
- The price is $6.99 (US). The price in your country is shown in the App before purchase and may differ.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
4. Family Sharing
Pro Lifetime supports Apple Family Sharing. If the purchaser has purchase sharing turned on, up to six members of the same Apple family group can use Pro on their own devices at no extra cost, subject to Apple's Family Sharing terms.
5. Restoring purchases
If you reinstall the App or switch to a new iPhone with the same Apple ID, open the App's Settings and tap Restore Purchases. Family Sharing members can use the same option if Pro doesn't appear automatically.
6. Compatibility and no warranty
The App is designed for Samsung Smart TVs with Tizen (2016 and newer) and LG Smart TVs with webOS (2014 and newer). TV manufacturers use different models, firmware versions and settings, so we cannot guarantee that every TV model, or every feature on every model, will work. Some functions (for example, turning the TV on over Wi-Fi) also depend on your TV's settings and your network.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
7. Acceptable use
Use the App only to control TVs you own or are allowed to control.
8. Trademarks
NoStrings is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Samsung or LG. Samsung and LG are trademarks of their respective owners. Brand names are used only to describe compatibility.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. Changes are posted on this page with a new effective date.
